Interesting reports....

Just received a few phone calls today concerning Ohio Campmeeting....

Greg Godwin made his PRO tv advertising very very clear...
Four very prolific and respected ministers (Pastors) AM,RJ, MW and JA are going to be very bold on the conference floor in Favor of the Resolution.

And the biggest was Rev. Harry Scism told a ministers meeting today that the reason they are so successfull on the foreign missions field are because they have very open relationships with the trinitarian churches.
He said they have very close fellowship with them and as a result have seen many churches rebaptized in Jesus Name. He added that the only way to reach North America is to start reaching out, be friending and even fellowshipping with the Trinitarians.

This dear man is highly respected and I know his words will carry alot of weight at this coming conference.

anyways.......there you have it.

It has always been my belief that we ought to be preaching in trinitarian churchs as often as they'll let us. We should be taking triny pastors to lunch, we should be sharing the great things Jesus is doing for us and what power and authority is in His Name.........Folks can understand they need to baptized in Jesus name without knowing all the hermeneutics and homiletics of the God Head....

Oddly enough it didn't take long for us to 'go' from 'we ought to be on tv' to 'we need to fellowship trinitarians'. I personally don't think I'd use that as 'advertisement' if you want the tv mess to pass.

It will take boldness for this resolution to pass.

What is your definition of fellowship? Did Jesus "fellowship" sinners?

Matt 11:19 (KJV)
19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

Why of course ... Stead ... the more you isolate yourself ... the more you will accomplish spreading "The Whole Gospel to the Whole World" ...

Steadfast 08-04-2007 09:44 PM

I personally preach a strong difference in 'friendship' and 'fellowship'. Friendship can do a lot of things. I, myself, preach in COGIC pulpits, Baptist pulpits... all kinds of pulpits. I am their 'friend'. I eat lunch with them and buy their dinner. But I don't 'fellowship' them... I don't put myself in a position to allow false doctrine a foothold in my mind or heart.

They are doctrinally wrong and I see no biblical way they are right with God. Having said that, it makes me no less their friend.

Dan, ole boy, I'm not isolated in any way. But neither am I deceived into thinking that they can be spiritually right if they are doctrinally wrong.

As one who has been privileged to re-baptize hundreds of trinitarians in Jesus name, (many of them Pastors) I fear that this "fellowshipping" is going to cause many problems. Most do not understand how to properly "fellowship" trinitarians.

We cannot allow them to preach for us, and we cannot give authenticity to their doctrine by offering acceptance. You cannot win someone to your God, if they feel theirs is equal. At the same time we must be willing to open doors of friendship to win them.

Now THIS is GOOD reasoning.
