New Worship Music?

I was reading a synopsis of a service at a church that has about 7500 in attendance weekly after under 10 years. Two songs got my attention:
1. Cochise by Audioslave
2. Hells Bells by ACDC

My question: Do these songs have a place in modern worship?
BTW, the sermon was on "Hell"

Hells Bells lyrics

AC/DC - Hells Bells Lyrics

I'm rolling thunder, pouring rain
I'm coming on like a hurricane
My lightning's flashing across the sky
You're only young but you're gonna die
I won't take no prisoners won't spare no lives
Nobody's putting up a fight
I got my bell I'm gonna take you to hell
I'm gonna get ya, satan get ya

Hells bells
Hells bells, you got me ringing
Hells bells, my temperature's high
Hells bells

I'll give you black sensations up and down your spine
If you're into evil, you're a friend of mine
See the white light flashing as I split the night
Cos if good's on the left then I'm sticking to the right
I won't take no prisoners won't spare no lives
Nobody's puttin' up a fight
I got my bell I'm gonna take you to hell
I'm gonna get ya satan get ya

Hells bells
Hells bells, you got me ringing
Hells bells, my temperature's high
Hells bells

Hells bells, satan's coming to you
Hells bells, he's ringing them now
Those hells bells, the temperature's high
Hells bells, across the sky
Hells bells, they're taking you down
Hells bells, they're dragging you down
Hells bells, gonna split the night
Hells bells, there's no way to fight
Hells bells

Lyrics for: Cochise

I've been watching
While you've been coughing
I've been drinking life
While you've been nauseous
And so I drink to health
While you kill yourself
And I've got just one thing
That I can offer

Go on save yourself
And take it out on me (x2)

I'm not a martyr
I'm not a prophet
And I won't preach to you
But here's a caution
You better understand
That I won't hold your hand
But if it helps you mend
Then I won't stop it.

Go on save yourself
And take it out on me (x4)

Drown if you want
And I'll see you at the bottom
Where you'll crawl on my skin
And put the blame on me
So you don't feel a thing

Go on save yourself
And take it out on me (x4)

Um....don't think I'd call that worship. Audio-visual aide/sermon illustration at best.

Right . . . I would imagine the songs were used in the message itself, and not during worship.

Although, JTullock and I went to the opening of a new church here a couple years ago and their worship team got up and put on a great concert, though without any worship.

Two of the songs they sang were:
Miracle Drug - U2
Are You Gonna Go My Way - Lenny Kravitz

Like I said . . . great concert (complete with stage lighting and fx lighting), the band was incredible and the singer was really good also. But there wasn't any worship to it.

Dude that was awesome that day! The band was rockin' and the singing was awesome. To bad the church did not hit it as big as it had in OK.

Def. not a worship song, but it is a great song in general.

From the article:
Aside from that, there were a number of elements in Sunday's service that were very compelling including Cochise and the man-on-the-street interviews that were shared as the band played ACDC's "Hells Bells."
