Three Year Old Drowns - Pray For Family
My daughter just got the sad word that the 3 year old son of a musician friend of hers drowned yesterday.
Apparently the little boy slipped out of the house and then fell in the swimming pool. He was this family's only child. Please pray for the father, Adam, and his wife. (I don't know her name). I have met the dad several times and will try to go to the funeral and / or the visitation. Pray that God gives me words of comfort. |
Pray'n for the family and for you!

I went to the visitation at the funeral home tonight. It was a closed casket but with lots of photos displayed and a running slide show of pics on two screens.
He was an adorable little boy. The parents are kind of "hippies". The dad is a keyboardist in a rock band. He had a great night Friday night with a sold out concert and then the very next day his little boy died. It was so sad to see him just watching that slide show over and over again of pics of little Silas. I had never met the mom but she is a beautiful young woman who has to be going through hell on earth. There was a photo album of pics when Silas was born and then some framed black and white photos of him as a newborn with his mom looking down at him and him looking up at her. Here is the obituary that appeared in the local newspaper. I told the dad I would be praying for him and I would like those of you reading this to help me do that. As the father of three children I can't even imagine what this mom and dad are going through. Very Sad...
here's a poem I wrote that you can give the family if you'd like.. Heavens Little Flowers Are there lilies up in Heaven? Do they play among the stars? Do they smile and wiggle while they giggle to catch the eye of God? Do they run and hide through fields of joy? Do they sleep up on the clouds? Are there angels watching over them? Are they safe in the arms of God? Momma’s tears and Daddy’s fear have been broken by love. And searching for tomorrows as they look to heaven above. So say goodbye for now, for we’ll meet upon that morn When God opens the Gate’s of heaven and you rush into my arms. And the Angels watch the lilies as they close their little eyes. The tousled hair and quiet prayers as they sing them lullabies. And sleeping so sweetly So you’ll never wonder why God loves the lilies and all of heaven sighs. R Graham |
