What my new camera will do.

I bought a new camera a couple of months ago. If you remember right, Praxeous bought the same camera the same weekend. Well, I've been playing with it. Took some shots of my daycare kids. I made a blog out of some of the shots for the Mom's to enjoy. They really are enjoying it - believe me!! They've been sending the site along to the grandparents and aunts and uncles and family friends, etc. so everyone can see their kids.

So I thought I'd share it with all of you. It's been kinda slow here today. If you get a chance and want something to do, go ahead and check this out..........

Nice pictures!

And being the geek here, what kind of camera is it?

Will it make me look 100 pounds lighter and twenty years younger?

If not, I already have one like it......

I've been doing this home daycare thing for over 20 years now. When Walt and I got married, I was working outside of the home. But we decided from day 1 that when we had children, we wanted for me to be able to stay home and raise them and not have to send them to someone else. I'm not saying that doing that is a bad thing - obviously I don't believe it is! Look what I do for my job now :) So anyhow, I started doing daycare way backk then. It has been the best move for us.

And we've made some great memories over the years. I was at a wedding reception not long ago. A girl walked up to me, about age 20 or so. She asked if I recognized her. I didn't. So she told me her name and then reminded me that I had babysat for her for about 3 years when she was small (just starting school). Then she said the nicest thing. She said to me, "Those 3 years were the best years of my entire life growing up. I always felt safe and loved and important while I was at your house." WHEW!! Talk about 'take your breath away' !!!

The other thing I'm so pleased about are the families that came here who were completely unchurched when they first started coming. And now they are strong, Christian families. THAT is what it's all about!!

Nah, I'm nothing special. Just willing clay. I just happen to love working with small pieces of clay, hoping to get them ready for the Master Potter to use as He sees fit.

Jeanie, if you lived closer, you wouldn't have to go WalMart every month. :)
