Who here lives close to San Francisco or Silicon Valley?

Just curious, I'm here for a few days and would consider meeting some people. I can show you my pasty white legs in person...

(Don't worry, those of you who are offended by my pasty white legs, I probably don't want to meet anyway) :D

We live about 80 miles from the Bay Area, not sure if that is close enough, but if want to come over or we might be able to meet half way I think we could work something out.

You may want to spend a couple of days there before you head out..

Your arms will probably be tired....and need some rest.....

Thanks guys, I am hooking up with RevRandy today because they were going to be in town anyway... (I hope he leaves the olive oil at home! :D )

Would love to meet Keith and Jeanie but don't want them to have to travel. I'm sitting in the "Sears Restaurant" now which is right across the street from my hotel... there is free wireless everywhere around here, this is my kinda place! (other than the housing costs - my house here would cost at least a mil).

I know Sheltie. I have a brother in law who lives in Los Angeles and his house is about the same size as mine. I'm thinking he paid well over a million for it three or four years ago. The only exception is the fact that they have a pool and we can install them for around ten grand.

We're always amazed when we watch the house-flipping shows... houses half the size of ours are bought in almost "condemned" condition for 3-4x what ours is worth in good shape... then they sell it and make a profit that is worth more than our whole house!

I live in Small Town, USA. It is literally a one horse town. But people are moving in from all over the country. It's crazy. There is absolutely NOTHING to do here! But the housing costs and the cost of living is so appealing to folks who have lived in cities where is is out the roof and they are snatching up houses that are priced anywhere from two or three hundred thousand and up, like it is nothing. I guess relatively speaking, that is pennies on the dollar to them, but it's amazing to us.
