Any Linux (Ubuntu) users out there?

I have been using Ubuntu (www.ubuntu.com) for the last 4 or 5 months and I LOVE IT. I prefer it to Windows XP, or VISTA.

Has anyone else used it and what is your experience with it?

Breezy-Dapper-Feisty and soon when released I will have Gutsy..

I have Feisty on my laptop also.

I want to convert MrsBoomm but she threatened me to NOT touch her machine..... she does use Firefox.

I put up a list of Firefox extensions in The Information Station. They all work in Linux.

:boomm

Oh, and I did have Xubuntu on the laptop for a day, but I prefer KDE over Gnome, so I switched to KDE-Core.

There is still much about Linux (any distro) that I do not like and needs major ease-of-use improvements before general public inroads are made, however, I am most interested in using it strictly for it's firewall capabilities. Just about ANY linux distro (with the exception of the impressive DSL distro) have a firewall close to, or the equal to anyone you could actually buy by itself.

My Linksys Router has a Linux Firewall installed.

You can try many of the latest versions before installing. Any computer less than 3 yrs old would easily handle Linux.

Remember in most of Europe- Governments and Business alike have used Linux for years and Microsoft is the newcomer.
