Pastor Jim Raley

This guy is from Ormond Beach, FL. area. I have seen him on tv several times and he is great. I have read his site and heard him preach about Jesus name. Was he ever in the UPC or another oneness organization that you all know of?

He is a great, great preacher and he has a cool preaching voice. Check him out!

If he was ever UPC or Oneness there is no inkling of it on his website. Under what they believe they refer to "three persons". There is absolutely no mention of water baptism whatsoever that I saw in speed reading through it. Their view of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is typical of the PCI Pentecostal view which can be Oneness or Trinitarian as it is that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is subsequent to salvation.

Of course he could be not mentioning water baptism because it is in Jesus name and he doesn't want to publicize that up front.

CC1,

I would guess Pentecostal Holiness or one of the other groups that espouse the "saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost" doctrine.

I agree. I have heard him preach and he seems like he is in the vein of oneness, though not too sure. He's had people that are not oneness preach for him, but so has Pastor Goldsberry and Pastor Hardwick. But somethings he says makes me think different. I saw an episode of Hillsong in Australia and they had a sign up that said "Jesus is God" and they are Assemblies of God. That is similar to what I have seen and heard him say.

He may be like the guy Apostle Ron Carpenter I posted about awhile ago. He belongs to a trinitarian-pentecostal organization. But I figured that maybe someone may know him or know of him.

FYI - I have NEVER heard any Trinitarian say that Jesus is not God.

Trinitarians do believe that Jesus is God , but they also believe Jesus is a second member of a triune Godhead. They also believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God ,or that He has always been The Son before His virgin birth.
