Runescape

Ok, friends. In the past when they were younger, we didn't allow our boys to play at runescape.com but now they are older. I am thinking it'd be fine.

But I'd be interested in knowing if any of you have played that game online. And if you did, what did you think of it??

Any advice you could give will be appreciated. :)

Both of my kids play it sometimes. I don't know much about it, however. I've seen them play, but it's like watching someone build a diesel engine....I see they are doing something, but I have no idea what....LOL!

I have played it...compared to other games graphic wise and game play, I thought it stunk, but hey it's not as expensive :-)

It's a fantasy role playing game where you can hack and slash, cast spells, gain fame and fortune, get better weapons and better spells, progress in power, join a guild and engage in guild wars. If you want to see some of those go to youtube. Some folks have posted their games.

hhheehe. exactly why they are playing the FREE version of Runescape. I'm hoping that boredome will set in and they'll move on to something better. In the meantime, this is where all of their friends are hanging out. I laugh because our library has 6 computers online. After school, all 6 will be filled with boys sitting there playing Runescape. They COULD just get out a board game and all play together, but, noooooooooo, they want to be online!

It's just the normal online game. It is heavy on witchcraft, casting spells, and magic. To me, it's a whole lot like working. You have to gather food, grow crops, and keep up with a lot of items. Too much work and I like playing turn based games.
