Weeping may endure for a night...
Ok AFF'ers lets put our thinking caps on....
My husband and I have been thru a lot this past 2 months...and this morning the Lord brought this verse to my mind. Psalm 30;5 NASB For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning. I've heard it preached before and have been encouraged by it...but now I would like to hear how the Lord has encourgaed you thru this verse...and/or maybe you can encourage us (especially ME) on AFF |
I heard Bro. TF Tenney preach on this verse... "My Daddy Works the Night Shift" about 2 years ago. AMAZING...basically his message was about how the its darkest right before dawn, and thats the shift our Heavenly Father works.

In other words, problems and situations won't last always, but favor and joy are everlasting. See, God is not like man who pulls his favor in and out like a yo-yo. He doesn't give joy and take it back...He doesn't grant favor and withdraw it because we mess up or don't measure up. He calls and appoints and gives favor and IS the joy that passes all understanding. I don't have much time here and don't know if this will help you, but be encouraged that God is in the midst of every trial. One songwriter said that He already sees the rainbow when we see only clouds. He is here... |

Darcie, Whenever I'm in this kind of situation, I like to think of the verse in Romans 8 that says: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose." So that when I stub my toe, it's a time to say to self "Hmmm, I wonder what it is that God has waiting for me around the corner..." "around the corner" is similar to "joy comes in the morning" |
When God created, it say "and the evening and the morning where the ____ day". That should show us that the day does not end in darkness for His creation.,
