Pray for the family of Doris Vanderhoff

Doris Vanderhoff, wife of Rev. Urban Vanderhoff, passed away yesterday at her home in Conway, SC. This is HeavenlyOne's aunt and she asked that I post this info for her.

Please let HeavenlyOne know that I am praying for her and for the rest of her family. Will she be traveling to the funeral?

No. She has work and school, but her mother and brother are going, as they live nearby.

Urban Vanderhoff is well-known in the Midwest for evangelism and started many churches in the 1940's and 1950's. After his first wife died (also named Doris), he married Doris Cooke, a widow with two children. One of those boys is a UPC pastor in Conway, SC.

Urban passed away in 1988. His daughter is married to Allan Oggs. His son was (and still might be in some capacity) a pastor in Michigan. There is a lot of history in this family.
