Holy Land Tour - Anyone going?
 

My mom and I are headed to Israel on the Charles Mahaney B.R.E.A.D. Holy Land Tour in November.
Any AFFers going that way??

If you go, the alleged tomb of Christ that is found northeast of Jerusalem, is not the tomb of Christ. :) It is unbelievable how peple accept traditions that are blatantly silly in origin. Someone placed am illustration of a skeleton on a map of the region, and wherever the head landed on the map was where he felt God was showing him where the tomb was. I guess it was a play on the "place of the skull" although that was Golgotha where he was crucified. Anyway, the actual tomb is deemed to be in the Armenian section of the city... southwest... and it has been believed to be so since the second century. The northeast tomb is simply a very late comer to the issue.

Yes ma'am, he did. There are other sponsors that have been doing the tour as well, and will be taking his place. But he is the one who originated it.

My Mom went on a tour with him many years ago, I think 1994 or there about.
