I Need Someone to Build Me a Web Site that Looks like this>

Does anyone know how to build a website that looks like this-(not exactly) but where you can run an on going feed of media and some live feed-

check this out-I really like this concept! (What ya think?)

Should be able to easily build that with no problems using Joomla!

http://www.joomla.org/

It has various plug-ins and other add-ons to handle multimedia streaming etc... look at the demo on their site.

www.trexhost.com has cpanel and fantastico script installer which makes it easy to host a site by point and click... no html needed.

I use them for www.bibletalkcafe.com if you want to see what I have done. I don't use streaming media though, but like I said they have plug-ins that make it easy enough to do. Just look at the extensions tab on the Joomla site.

Sister that webpage uses two elements you can use yourself.

One is they hosted at Yahoo and used yahoo site builder to make the webpage. They chose a simple template

Then for the media they used
http://www.brightcove.com/

and they inserted the link from brightcove into their Yahoo sitebuilder program that is an online web site builder

ok prax I will study this as well.
Do you recommend any websites that will provide me with information with what I will need in order to put my media on a website?

I think if you go through this company it's very simple. All they do is host your content. You probably just upload your file and they convert it., You can really do the same thing through youtube for free. You just upload your media, they convert it and you then insert the link into the web page like we do here using whatever webpage designer you choose.

With Joomla you have a lot of templates. You can also use something like wordpress which is made for blogs.

Most web hosting sites have online site builders with templates where you just fill in the blanks. Or you can find a template on the net and use something like Dreamweaver.

At netfirms.com they give you a CD with Netfusion for free and you can get a free version of Namo on the net for free. Namo is a pretty decent program for people that know no HTML and don't want to.

The more information the better, thank you for your help I really need it!

What I like about the site is that it has continueous media feed and live feed-I recently was trying to upload one of Keith teachings on youtube and it was very limited on how much I could upload with an avi file.

I had to go through my windows movie maker to convert it to a wmv so I could have a bigger file.

Anyway when I am done posting Keith's message on youtube I will eventually post it here so everyone can hear it, it is just taking forever to do! Cutting, editing blah blah-

You can buy Flash and convert it yourself to Flash, which is what youtube uses. What really makes youtube ideal is it's their bandwidth. If you put the video on your site it won't take up a lot of room, but with people constantly watching or downloading it can really affect bandwidth and the host may charge you more. BTW did you try Mpeg?

What happens at Youtube is they have an automated system that converts your files to a flash file. With flash you can do that easily and not know much about flash. It comes with a program that does it for you pretty much and even adds the video controls
