ROCK BANDS!!! A growing Trend in the UPC???
 

Has anyone noticed the growing trend of ROCK BANDS amongst us ???

Especially among the young set


what is your opinions of this ? are you noticing this ?


is this a Bad or good thing ?

It's a great thing. I wish this trend began when I was a teenager. It would have made worship more tolerable.

worship is for God- you mean the music more tolerable ?

IF music is supposed to lead you into worship, they did a poor job at it. They did the best they could but music wasn't their highest priority and it showed. My children's ministry band runs circles around the what I had to put up with at that age.

They got sick of country?

I guess I haven't really seen it.

What if you had a group of your typical OP singers; only instead of them singing to "canned" or pre-recorded music, they played their own instruments while they were singing? Would they be a "band?"

The rest is probably just stylistic differences between a "country" sound and a more "contemporary" sound.

Name some of the Rock bands. Im not aware of any.

I can't wait 'til we get a OP thrash metal or black metal band...

I haven't kept up with the names of these bands. I'll try to start remembering.

I do know they are sprouting up more and more .

heavy on guitars- especially the distorted sound
