We've had "junk mail" before asking for money and promising healing with the "prayer handkerchief"...a paper handkerchief was enclosed with the mailing.
But........I didn't send any money...:killinme
There is good advertising and then there are scams and unfortunately many will link good honest church advertising with the scams.
As far as TV, there are several non AOG, charismatic type churches that advertise on TV...but really early AM or really late....when the rates aren't as steep. I doubt that any of the 4 local metro UPC churches have the money or inclination.
