If my wife wasn't too far away she proably could help you as she is a fix-it lady, like her dad.

Sears.com ..... you can order just the glass. It's not cheap but it is cheaper than a new stove...... I replaced one myself.
Look for parts section. Then you have to put in the model number of your stove. Then you can look at the diagrams to pick what you need. |

My wife loves it because she doesn't have burners to clean but she hates cooking. For anybody who loves good food and cooking properly gas or propane is the only way to go!!! While I generally leave the house to my wife as far as furniture, decor, etc go I have drawn a line in the sand here and have told her that if (hopefully when) her stovetop breaks I am replacing it with a nice gas one!!!! This is the second of these stovetops we have had in a row and on both of them some of the burners stop getting hot enough to boil water after awhile and since they are electric you cannot control the temperature. It takes forever for one to cool down any if you reduce the heat. |

I probably agree with you here, ........ but with three kids ages 4 ,6, 8 it seems a little safer to me. Also we have a great polara stove that has refrigeration as well ..... pretty cool being able to leave something cold in it and have it turn on and cook later!! |

Why not visit a local appliance repair store? How long have you lived in the house- did you get a home warranty slipped in with the deal and not know it? :saycheese |
