Did you Hear that a UPC District Supt. Has sent out a letter to all the Pastors in his district forbidding them from advertising ????????????????????

Does he have the authority over his district to do this ??? what's the rules?

I would like your opinons on this ??

Good for him.

This is strictly hypothetical . . . but if I were a licensed minister in that district and I wanted to advertise on television . . . let the DS send all the letters "forbidding" what he may, doesn't matter. It was voted and approved by a majority with no amendments granting any oversight by either HQ or individual districts.

Of course, I'd have to consult the manual for the official rules concerning what the DS can/cannot do when something has been officially passed by the organization as a whole.

OKay but what if the manual says one thing but the DS says another?

who prevails in this matter ?

oh good grief, just post it already! LoL I've been working all night and am waiting to crash for a while. I'm afraid if I do that before you post, it will most likely be gone by the time I wake up. At least, that's what usually happens.

If that's possible, I could see that happening in CA.
