PAW and UPC - A merger in the works?

Many threads and much talk of ultra conservative brethren exiting the UPC, and now serious discussion of liberals leaving the PAW.

Does this result in greater common ground between the two organizations?

Is there possibly another MERGER ahead???

What say you?

I sing in PAW churches, they allow the women to wear pants makeup and jewery.
I would love to see Mickey with high lights and Vesta with a little blush:D
I think a merger would be GREAT.:D

Yes, Sister Mickey is a high light - what a wonderful voice. And I'm sure folks saw Vesta blush when Anthony was just starting out. :)

You incorrect in your comment "they" do not allow women to wear, pants, makeup, and jewelry. I have an uncle that is a pastor and with the PAW organization; and he does not condone any of what you have stated. He is a great man of God and stands for nothing but holiness and Apostolic doctrine. True, there are some Pastor's within the PAW that do permit it. However, as a whole that is not the case. There are saints in the UPC that do the above mentioned. As for the original thread, given the history of how the UPC organization came into existence, many saints would have to stop being "hearers of the word" and become "doers of the word" (in terms of being respecters of persons). Sad to say but unfortunately, there is still some racial tension between the two. :snapout Having been raised in the UPC and also being in the PAW for a few years (when my father assisted my uncle with his church) there are ideologies that neither organization would agreed upon. We see proof of this in the bible with the Apostles. They didn't always agree on what we call "standards" today, yet, they agreed on the doctrine. Unless, Jesus Christ moves in a miraculous way amongst the two it will not happen. Cannot two walk together except they agree? But, there is nothing impossible with God. It would be a beautiful and dynamic thing for all Apostolics to be under the same "umbrella", it has always been my belief that the division amongst the saints of God is a hindrance. Think how much more we could accomplish in this world.
