It's Peanut Brittle Time!!!

Yes, it's that time of year. And for those who want to know, I'm no longer a peanut brittle maker virgin!! For the first time ever, I made peanut brittle tonight!

For those of you who want to order, they are $1.50 per patty, and shipping is actual cost. I accept PayPal or check by mail (cause I know you all are honest and don't write bad checks!). For those paying by PayPal, the fees I'll be charged will be charged to you.....I'm not sure the percentage yet (but if anyone knows, post it here). I also cannot guarantee that there will be no breakage. It's peanut brittle for a reason! But those who ordered last year can testify that I pack them well.

And I won't get orders mixed up this time! LOL!

PM me with any orders. I'll let you know the total when I have them shipped.

It varies. There is a flat per transaction fee and a percentage of what is paid based on the method of payment. So there isn't one pat answer for this.

That's not making it easy for me! LOL!

So what should I do for those paying with PP, charge like 5% or something? Not sure what to do in this situation.

You could do that and refund any difference as you can give refunds back via PayPal. Or, those that didn't care about a few pennies could let you keep any extra and donate it to the church.

Their site says the fees are 1.9% to 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.

Those rates are for a premiere or business account. It's more if it is a personal one.

I have a premiere account.

So I'll add like 2.5% then, I suppose.

And for those who pay this way, if it's ok, I'll donate any extra to the church. This fundraiser is for the ladies auxillary.

Thanks.

We used to make 800-1200 patties per week this time of year.

They mentioned the other day that they are going to do it again this year.

Man oh man.

:)
