I dont remember WE5. Yes Georgy Girl was their most well known song. I just recently discovered the gospel singing they did. If you were a young Christian back then that would have sounded cutting edge.

I was raised in Church till I was 14 and all the music I knew were Church hymns as done by Church of Christ accepelo singing! As mentioned in the Favorite band thread I am wondering if their music may have inspired the early Jesus people musicians?

THEY (Jesus People) were the first ones to my knowledge to begin putting out praise and worship lyrics and also of course Christian rock.

Another great song by the Seekers.

We sang Kumbaya back in my CampFire Girls days. And also at church camp when I was a kid while sitting around the campfire at night.

This version by the Seekers is the first full version Ive heard of it. I love the guitars and vocals on it. I am really enjoying these older songs.
