Oregon First-Grader Suspended From School After Violent Drawing

Oregon First-Grader Suspended From School After Violent Drawing

NEW YORK — A first-grade Oregon student was suspended after drawing a picture depicting one stick figure pointing a gun at another.

What do you think? I feel sorry for this kid. I think this over reaction can scar him for life. Rather than penalize a kid that does not know better and demonize him they should rather keep him in school and teach the kid what is right and wrong.

I don't think suspending a first grader is the way to teach them that.

OH my word I better turn my son in...we had a very very old computer...a commodor 65 I think it was...hooked up to the TV....he wrote a program...for it...two stick figures one shot the other one, if only I had know back 30 year ago what this would lead to, I could have had him locked up right then in there, instead I thought how smart my son is...my mistake!

I guess it all started when I was a kid, we used to play cops and robbers! My word we rode out bikes and had shoot outs! Ofcourse I didn't wear dresses then, that explains everything........:girlnails

C64...I used to have one when they were new. In fact used to be one of the first and only PCs you could buy at the toy store.

BTW that's not bad...did he code it in basic?

When I said "that's not bad" I did not mean it like "bad dog! BAAAAAAD Dog!"

It was like "wow, not too shabby" :donuts

Yep, this is Oregon: a child cannot draw a violent picture, but an underage girl can go have an abortion without her parents even knowing. Definitely, this state in which I live is ripe for a mighty move of the Holy Ghost!

Holy Cow and seven herds of horses! We must call child protective services, Al sharpton, The ACLU and Hitlary Clinton's "village" people!

We simply can't have children drawing things like this in our society!!!

I mean, what if it was a cop and a robber? How about a special forces soldier and a terrorist? We cant have children using their IMAGINATIONS like that! Why, they might turn into........ Business owners who are fathers, husbands, and law abiding citizens.

One of my favorite pastimes as a "young'n" was to draw stick figure "war" scenes complete with tanks, machine guns, and mortars. You could even see the *gasp* evil bullets flying through the air!

People today are complete idiots. They are so concerned with being politically correct that all logic and common sense is as rare as a meat-lovers pizza at a vegetarian convention.

I bet if the kid had drawn a picture of two dudes in one bed with "America is evil" pillow cases and "soldiers are baby killers" posters on the wall, they would have nominated him for class president.

I He'd drawn sick polar bears dying in the exhaust fumes of an SUV as the ice caps melted and the oceans covered the empire state building, they would have given him the Nobel peace prize.

Unbelievable!
