My teenage son loves to watch stuff from The Discovery Channel. We just recently started watching stuff, but he shows little interest in fictional stuff. He prefers to watch "real" things. Extreme sports, historical things.
People have a lot of pre-conceived notions about tv. I know, I had them too.
