According to the Diary of Goss, he specifically told Witherspoon to not associate
Acts 2:38 with the New Birth as the Merger will not happen. Witherspoon followed his instructions to the letter.
By the way, Goss gave instructions to his Family to keep the Diary a secret until 2000, now we know why.
