Re: Criticizing Sarah

JD, your opening post still doesn't explain the obsessive disdain for Sarah that you and many others in the media and on the left possess. First, so far, she hasn't announced her candidacy. Second, she's not the frontrunner in polling. She isn't even second. I thinl Romney is more of a threat to BO. I think Pawlenty is more of a threat. Yet yall don't pour the negativity on these guys like you do Sarah.

My theory on why the media can't get enough of Sarah-bashing is because she represents an America that the Northeast/NY City/Washington DC elites hate: rural, conservative, salt-of-the-earth, Christian, traditional family values, community-college graduating, hunting, fishing, gun-owning, church-going, pro-life believing, middle-class-wage earning people. The fact that she's accomplished, attractive, chose to give birth to her Down's Syndrome child, was a business owner, mayor, governor and VP candidate just eats these people alive. They don't think people like us deserve or are worthy enough to even be considered presidential material.

But all of those arguments reveal their hypocrisy. Obama removed any credible arguments for high standards for presidential candidates. Yes he was an Ivy League grad, yes he taught at a law school, but as far as having experience on any executive level, as far as having any substantial qualifications to be the POTUS, he had very little. He is well spoken, he has a disarming style, he is handsome and has a beautiful wife and two beautiful daughters, he looks good in front of a camera, he had a tough team around him who were well versed in bloody nose politics, he ran a good campaign, he benefitted from an economic collapse six weeks before the election in 2008.

But here he is with fuax pas all over the place, a failing presidency, a wronf headed foreign policy, misstatements and bad fiscal policy spanning nearly three years of governance---and yall want to focus on SP? It doesn't make any sense.

Its a level of denial that's akin to folks standing on the porch of a burning house and pointing to the neighbors cat stuck in a tree.
