I wouldn't say something like that.
In my opinion, a person who watches stuff on the internet but would not watch tv
may be inconsistent but I wouldn't call him a hypocrite. There are folks (Eld. Epley is one) who sincerely believes that internet use is not the same as television use. If he did, I'm sure he would stop internet use.
