Likewise, nothing was publicly admitted for 4 years either.
Sometimes the congregation never hears that public announcement. I know I never did hear it until 15 years later, sitting at a table in a restaurant after coming upon the pastor who decided to tell us that a man of God from a UPC church told him his gift and calling was without repentance and he must preach. He never actually admitted his breech, but implicated his sin and repentance.
Some people never will actually admit it and ask forgiveness for misusing funds or for cheating.
