Or, you could say it is the day I received the HGB (Holy Ghost Baptism).
This happened on a Sunday night at Bethel Tabernacle UPC in Racine, Wisconsin. I was 18 years old.

I had been baptized in Jesus' Name on October 27, 1955 at Elim Tabernacle (UPC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the age of 17. I was a senior in high school. I attended that service in Milwaukee at the invitation of Tex Hansen. I had gone to school with Tex most of my life.
Hmmm I think I was baptised May 20th 1986, and recieved the HG baptism July 10th of the same year. It was the best of times and the worst of times...

I am a firm believer in the Old Paths

Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945
