My little ggdaughter is super, super intelligent. I'm sure that she will understand what I am saying. I don't sugar coat things.

She was comparing the Devil to the grim reaper. How scary is the grim reaper? Was that a story a little girl should hear?
She does, but here's the thing, I told her. IMO it's the parents role and responsibility to discuss these things, not relatives or other people

I had to have a talk with my mother, because over a year ago she told my daughter (who wasn't even 3 at the time) that girls should only wear skirts or dresses.

It wasn't your place to discuss your beliefs on Halloween, and it wasn't my mother's place to discuss what my daughter should/shouldn't wear. That's the role and responsibility of the parents.
