I absolutely adore Jesus. I am a muscle building, beard sporting, tool collecting, gun shooting, bloody your knuckles on the car you are working on, kind of a guy, just ask my wife. I do not use my manliness as any excuse to distance myself from knowing Jesus as much as He wants me to know Him. Intimately involving myself with my creator is my greatest pursuit in life. Relationships are born and grow deeper as both individuals become vulnerable to one another. Many of these new songs not only invite you to become vulnerable, but pull at you to sing their lyrics aloud. All this vulnerability goes against the very guarded nature of men. I vote: bring on all the "Jesus is my boyfriend" songs of IHOP, Jesus Culture and others! My masculinity can handle it.
