This question hails back to the age-old question about Cornelius in Acts the 10th chapter. According to Luke and the angel, here was a devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always. Had he died before Peter arrived, or had Peter failed to fulfill his evangelistic charge, would he be toast? Thankfully such weighty judgments are reserved for my Lord alone.
