I was not adopted, but I sometimes feel as if I was. My bio father split before I was two years old. I'm probably more like him.

Anyway, apostolics sweep a lot of things under the rug. Many brands of Christians do. To hide this info is either because of shame or to protect the child. Shame for giving a child up. Protection, not telling a child.

I think today the stigma of adoption is removed. Some opt for an open adoption where the child knows he is adopted and the real parent, parents do keep in touch.
