Gonna catch flak but thats not gonna keep me from speaking.
First off I'm at a place right now where I'm burnt out over the whole,"This or that action will 100% earn you a non refundable ticket to the eternal BBQ"
The early Church dealt with the adding of extra rules and regulations to the Gentiles in
Acts 15 when some were trying to require Gentiles to not only be circumcised but to also follow the law of Moses.
It's interesting that the Elders declare that doing so would be tempting God.
Acts 15:10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
Acts 15:20
“But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.”
23 And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
30 So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:
31 Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
From the context and passages we see that the decision reached seemed good not only to the Apostles and Elders but ALSO it specifically says that it seemed good to the HOLY GHOST to not put a yoke upon believers necks that they cannot bear and it even says that doing so is "tempting God"
Their words and apparently God's words since the Holy Ghost was/is in agreement.
Are there any examples of important figures in scripture that were educated in environments foreign and even pagan that were used by God and placed in those positions God?
Yes.
Daniel, 3 Hebrew children, Moses etc...even Christ was educated by doctors of the law that He later on butted heads with and opposed.
You don't see Mary and Joseph condemned to Hell for allowing Jesus to be educated by Scribes and Pharisees.
You don't see Jocabed burning in Hell for allowing Moses to be educated in the courts of Egypt...by your reasoning she should have ran off somewhere in the wilderness and raised him away from ANY Egyptian influence.
I am NOT pinning medals on the educational system man. It's modeled on the Prussian educational system and it was designed to created an obedient compliant work force that wouldn't push back and also a mindless souless military.
I was a victim of public schools and was horribly abused and assaulted sexually as a kid and subjected to brutal behavior from mentally and emotionally unstable adults that needed a whole lotta Jesus.
So no, I don't want my kid educated in a harmful system but the yoke you are attempting to place on believers that threatens their salvation if not labored under is NOT scriptural.
You have no mandate or authority to condemn someone to Hell that doesn't follow your pet doctrine.
