It doesn't admonish parents to "secure a Christian education" for their kids or to ensure that their children "are given a Christian education". Parents are to teach their children the ways of Christ, regardless of what prevailing educational systems might exist or might not exist in their culture and/or community that teaches reading, writing, and arithmetic.
