I do understand this happens in most all threads. But, is this because Nostradamus brought up some Texas Preacher telling his people to hush when visitors pop in? I’m pretty loud at times when I’m praying in the prayer room. Well, a young preacher came into the prayer room to alert me that he brought visitors. I stopped praying, and took the time to ask some questions. One was, “at what point can I resume praying the way I do?” This was met with a blank expression, and then an answer. The answer was, “when we have no new people?” You see that isn’t honest, I don’t mean the brother’s answer, but the implications of the answer. We aren’t looking to sneak this stuff upon anyone. That some brother runs the pews full tilt, or that some sister shouts like she was stuck with an ice pick. I’m not going to hush everyone in the ladies and men’s prayer rooms. That all happens because of fear, and that fear is all our own.
Casting out a devil. Do we wait until service is over, kindly ask the devil possessed to exit the sanctuary? So in this way we can privately cast the devil out. Listen we aren’t like mainstream Churchanity. So we aren’t expected to behave like them. Also as far as 1 Cor 14 goes it isn’t addressing a congregation but the eldership speaking to a congregation. I think instead of worrying about church peeps speaking in tongues scaring visitors, we need to learn how to read.
Elder, I could be wrong here, but I don't think the issue is their inability to read ... I think it's the lack of discernment that's the problem. Just a guess...
