How about none of the above. Maybe let their beard be their business? Kind of like if they want to wear a tie or not. Bow tie? Necktie? No tie?
I don’t think it really should be a factor.

I do think they should be judged according to how their doctrine aligns with the scripture.

Beards though? They are generally considered a sign of masculinity. Men generally can grow better beards than women. We could probably benefit from that distinction in these days of gender uncertainty.
