I do believe it is a byproduct of certain styles of leadership. It is the sort of leadership where the individual is under a false premise. Which makes him believe he has a special relationship which no other saint has in his church family. In his mind he sees himself as a vicar of Christ. He doesn't exactly see himself as a pope per say, but he is led to believe that God is speaking through him to his church family. Since that is his mindset, anyone thinking outside of his circle must be brought back in line. They aren't speaking against a mere mortal, but God Himself. Don't get me wrong, there are those with anointing where the Holy Ghost is speaking through them. Yet, if Jesus is speaking through them they heal and NEVER destroy. You never ever go to a private meeting with an anointed man of God, and leave sick to your stomach. Believing that you are cursed of God, not broken, but absolutely lost. Holy Ghost doesn't make you want to jump off a cliff. EVER!!!!
You see David Taylor didn't pop out of the ether, he isn't anything new. He didn't come up with his behavior all on his own. He is a product of the lack of oversight. Which is to be done by the people in the pews. They vote with their feet, and they keep the Jim Jones in power. Or take him out of power. The ones who are asked if they are more spiritual than the leader. Are usually those who smell something rotten in Denmark. They start to share with those close to them that something is amiss. The minions of the leader report back and the offender is usually skewered over the pulpit. David Taylor had a crew of faithful who carried out his "corrections." Those individuals are the ones who keep the leader on his pedestal. This is what happens from The Donald Trumps to the Jimmy Joneses of the world. for a gang leader to stay in power he must have torpedoes which do most of the mopping up. Now Mr Taylor must've not been taking care of his crew, because it seems that they may had gone along with the disgruntles who turned on him. Loving people leadership has to be its own reward. Nothing else. Love of money replaces love of people. Most of all, it replaces love of God.
