On his way home to Germany he met a priest who stopped Luther, and wanted to show him a holy relic which was in the priest's possession. the priest said it was John the Baptist's head. Martin Luther quickly assured the priest that while in Rome, he had viewed the head of John the Baptist! The priest smiled, and said, yes, you have. That was John the Baptist when he was old. The head I have is John the Baptist when he was young.
The whole ark of the covenant situation is sadly I believe much of the same thing. There are so many stories indicating the whereabouts of a holy relic which we were told doesn't matter anymore. In
Jeremiah 3:16 we are told that the ark would no longer be necessary. Jesus didn't need to pour His blood on the mercy seat. But, if Brother Steve has some solid proof, I most certainly would like to read his explanations.
