Religion and political ideologies are all run by the rank and file guys and gals. No religion or political ideology is a monolith. There is a huge amount of diversity within all these groups. No one within any ideology can speak for that ideology as a whole. While everyone tries to strive for unity, the unified who are in accordance to the orthodox view of the political and the religious are always a small few.
