They failed God in that they gave their affection to things that were not of Him, by Him, or from Him.

There is plenty of space made in this modern church for us to play the part, and sound the part to the carnal ear and mind--and yet give our affection to things that are not of God. Often, we don't even realize it, and are found wanting in the Spirit because we are worshiping things that are not God, while we have some how "churchified" them and have thought them spiritual.

It is not necessarily the song, or even the singer. It can be sung right, sung well, by one whose heart is right, and yet be received wrong, and the spirit that is not of God be present, even while others are being blessed in the Holy Ghost. If we are not discerning enough, this strange mix can take place and no one realize it from the back of the platform to the back door.

I am not saying that this is what Bro. Strange means, as he is well able to speak for himself, but still, I am troubled as I have felt this many times--and seen the strange effects that it brings. Yes, I am chiming in and saying that this happens and it happens in meetings where our greatest and most anointed leaders are at--and many of them do not recognize it--partly because there are many great things happening at the same time and they are caught up in the good.

Just for the record, I think AM and MM are awesome, and GAM and VM are head and shoulders above many. I differ with AM's stance on the TV thing, but think his argument is the most compeling and actually believe that should this go--he will handle it far better than most--and actually use it well for the kingdom...even though it may do damage in other ways eventually.

Just like someone else mentioned, those same people with such discernment who are well respected people couldn't feel what Bro. Strange felt, and they are the same ones who 'prayed' Borat through to the Holy Ghost.

Seems to me that just because what BS felt wasn't felt by others means squat to how we see reality.

It's quite possible that BS is right and everyone else is wrong.
