Bro. A. D. Urshan was so moved that they would be playing what he thought was a One God song. He approached the band and asked if he could sing it. With permission granted, he proceeded to sing the words that you quoted above. He sung with such a great anointing that when he was finished, there was a time of total silence as people dried their eyes. While still weeping, the great crowd of people in that resturant stood to their feet and gave bro. Urshan a long lasting applause.
The whole place remained in the grips of that great anointing for a long while.

I had not heard that story about Bro. A.D. Urshan but I did know that
an Italian man sang the secular song and I have forgotten the name of it.
My late father loved the words and over twenty five years ago, a lady
that had come to the U.S. from Germany, came and visited our congre-
gation and at the end of the service as they were praying for someone
who was ill, she asked her daugher, "Edie, what do they do", in her broken
English. Her daughter, a classmate of mine, told her they were praying for
the lady because she was ill. She said, "O, maybe they pray for me, I have
a terrible headache". Her daughter said, "Yes, mamma, just step right over
there." My dad seeing she put her hand to her head, anointed her forehead
with oil and started praying for her and she suddenly threw her hands up
and began to speak in tongues. Dad asked her daughter if she was speaking
in her language and the daughter said "no, She is not speaking in Durtch", or
however they pronounce it. They lady was so happy and said, "I receive the
Holy Spirit". She said she was down on her knees the day before and told
the Lord "Jesus, you know I always love you, Forgive all my sins". I knew
that was why she was received it. She worked with some of the ladies from
our church and had visited for special occasions. She had taken voice
lessons while still living in Germany and she knew the secular version of the
song aforementioned.
She took the words, "Down From His Glory" and sung that song for many
years and would usually get so anointed she was trembling and shaking under
the power of the Holy Ghost. Dad loved to hear Sis. L. Martin sing "Down From
His Glory". She sang like an opera singer and could hit those high notes
beautifully. I loved to hear her sing it too. She is no longer able to attend
church and will soon be 93. She and her daughter came out of the First
Christian Church and both had a tremendous experience in the Holy Ghost.
That was over 25 yrs ago.
Just reminicing some precious memories!
