And we've made some great memories over the years. I was at a wedding reception not long ago. A girl walked up to me, about age 20 or so. She asked if I recognized her. I didn't. So she told me her name and then reminded me that I had babysat for her for about 3 years when she was small (just starting school). Then she said the nicest thing. She said to me, "Those 3 years were the best years of my entire life growing up. I always felt safe and loved and important while I was at your house." WHEW!! Talk about 'take your breath away' !!!
The other thing I'm so pleased about are the families that came here who were completely unchurched when they first started coming. And now they are strong, Christian families. THAT is what it's all about!! |
