Actually, unless someone KNEW for a fact, via confession or evidence, it would be wrong to do anything other than keep your mouth closed. I think usually "we knew" means "we suspected", and if there's nothing more than suspicion or opinion to go on, what's the profit in saying anything?

Just generally speaking...it's usually NOT a good idea to state something just because you suspect it or even have a good reason to "think" or "know."

Now, if someone actually KNEW something, and didn't tell me, I wouldn't appreciate it.
