Jesus is picture with a garment down to his feet, could this be used to teach against shorts?

I've also read where because the priest only showed his feet.hands and face when going into the holy place, we should to only show that much.

jesus also had a crown of thorns....does that mean we have to wear one too? Jesus was wearing a gown, not pants....nuff said.

BTW anyone know what "gird up your loins" means?
