Asking the "why" questions about scripture is *not* disobedience, it is a healthy curousity for a better understanding of the Word.... 2 Timothy 2:15 alone single-handedly discounts this false misconception....

I tell saints, youth, Bible studies, etc all the time.... Yah gotta LOVE the Word and know it.... bring your Bible to church so you can check out the preacher and make sure he's in the Book.... a growing knowledge and understanding of the Word is the only thing that can safeguard you from falling into false doctrine.... also, yah gotta understand the "why" of the Word or you won't be able to explain it to someone else....

any leader that refuses to answer and/or discourages the "why" questions is probably weak in their own Bible knowledge and insecure with the ministry and callings that God has given them....
