I remember older revivals from when I was a little kid. One particular where it lasted 3 weeks and every single night. The McGruders came and sang for the last week of it and we had about 60 get the holy ghost and the main thing I remember about it was I was only about 8 and confused at how my parents wouldnt let me go to bed at bed time on school nights and said I was gonna call the police on them for staying at church past midnight most nights!
As for now. Our church is definitely in revival! We have at least 100 baptised this last 8 months. We have at least 1 or 2 getting the holy ghost every service. No we dont have nightly revival services but we have some services where you just walk in the door and the spirit is so strong in the place... some services we havent even got started and someone will start shouting or a few times as the choir was walking up to the platform before service even started we had tongues and interpretation and the whole service was pretty much over before it even started. I remember people shouting everywhere and being slain in the spirit and the main place all this starts is usually within our youth which makes it even better!
This church has grown so fast and good solid families... I think they said just 12 yrs ago it ran 100 or so and now it is running 950+ and thats in the main service and then we have 6 other services on Sunday... God is moving!!! And yes this is a very conservative upc church just in case anyone asks LOL
