I don't know the man and truly don't mean to be judgmental (and the man does preach the Gospel after all so there's a need to be careful), but what I've heard and read I agree with you.
The Bible
does say that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
Or the pen writes.
Or the spirit manifests itself.
