I don't believe there has to be an outward sign. Some of the strongest feelings of God's presence in a service that I have felt there was no shouting, no tongues and intrepretation, but a sweep of HIS spirit that filled the place. That is how I feel, Renda...not that I am downplaying the outward sign at all and I know you aren't either, but I know what you mean.
While I agree with the Chocolateperson that those things are great, I fear that some have become so hungry for a touch...a move of God that they mistake the demonstration for a sign that God is in the midst, and it's just not always the case, IMO...
