I don't think it's small minded per say to be concerned. But I am willing to see what he does and let the end product speak for itself.
My issue is that I feel we must guard the gifts God has given us, because they are for His glory. I think it is wrong to use God given gifts for other purposes other than anything that would glorify God's kingdom.
So I do hope that God is glorified in all of this, that would be awesome!

yeah - me too. I am optimistic about Jakes. I have great difficulty in swallowing the "showmanship" but OP have their own share of that.
Still find it strange that he (Jakes) came out in favor of Obama though...
