I think we must be careful to differentiate between His humanity not knowing and the Divinity knowing all!

I do believe that somewhere in his early childhood He begin to come to a realization of the fact, through the Spirit.

The interview (book) brings to attention the fact that just like any other Jewish boy he would have studied scripture leading up to his bar-mitzvah. He talks about how the prophecies of Messiah weghed upon his mind as he considered if "He could actually be "HIM".
