Of course she knew...what was she supposed to do? Lie? On the news they said the pagents usually avoid politically charged things...I doubt she went into this thinking "they are going to have a raging homo on the board and ask me about my faith"...he never should have been allowed to ask her that question in the first place and her opinion never should have been the basis of whether she wins or not. They ask people questions to see if they can form thoughtful responses not how well they can brown nose the judges
