Well...my thoughts are...

Perhaps because the subjects are still of interest.

1. Start a new thread about a serious PENTECOSTAL topic, and within two or three posts you have a few confirmed atheists, universalists or confirmed homosexual agendists posting ignorant, profane crud. These dolts ruin any potentially good discussion.

Provide a few examples please. It could be that there are a few confirmed atheists, universalists or confirmed homosexual agendists posting ignorant profane crud. Or it could be that this is the definition of someone posting with an opposing opinion.

2. The forum has become too political. I LOVE politics, but that's pretty much all AFF is any longer. Coadie and Esther pretty much think Obama is the antichrist, and on any given day have about ten threads going to prove it. It gets old. Most of it is just recycled hate speech they've received from some anonymous emailer.

It could be that the political postings have remained relatively constant while religious postings have dwindled thus giving the appearance of more political postings. But... if someone posts an opposing religious opinion they can quickly be labeled as atheists, universalists or confirmed homosexual agendists and their thoughts are sometimes referred to as ignorant profane crud. One cannot expect people to continue to post when this is the result of expressing ones opinion. The phrase "Where are those people we used to kick in the teeth" is a self answering question.

3. There is no common bond here. AFF is not an AFF. We are not true to our identity. Many, many, people here are ADMITTED backsliders, unbelievers or never have had any real contact with Pentecost. I'm not talking about differences in standards. I'm saying these folks don't know squat about Pentecost.

There is often no common bond among people who refuse to bond with anyone but those who pass a rigid litmus test of exacting beliefs. In an atmosphere of the "thems" and the "Us's" no one should be surprised that there isn't a bond felt between the sides.
